Black Bear Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor. This is a fantastic chance to secure a permanent position at a Sydney-based food manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a safe workplace by enforcing WHS procedures and PPE, and running pre-start checks and toolbox talks

- Plan and run each shift to hit daily output targets, delivery dates and order priorities

- Track and improve line efficiency (OEE), record downtime and output, and act on the main losses

- Make sure all product meets specification and GMP/HACCP standards, including line clearances, label and batch-code checks, weight checks and holding non-conforming product

- Allocate staff to lines by skill and demand, and manage rosters, breaks, leave and overtime within labour budget

- Coordinate quick, right-first-time changeovers, and work with maintenance to cut breakdowns and downtime

- Keep batch records, production paperwork, downtime logs and shift handovers complete, accurate and on time, and report shift results to the Operations Manager

- Drive 5S, housekeeping, waste reduction and root-cause problem solving with the team

Essential Criteria:





- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory or team leader experience in food or FMCG manufacturing

- Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety requirements

- Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a team on the floor

- Confident with rostering and managing labour to budget

- Good computer skills and accurate record keeping

Desirable:

- Certificate IV in Food Processing, Leadership or Frontline Management

- Exposure to Lean, 5S or continuous improvement methods

- Forklift licence
