About the role

We're a small manufacturer in Currumbin Waters looking for a reliable all-rounder to run our roll former and other machines, pack and dispatch orders, and help keep the factory running smoothly.

Casual, Monday to Friday, around 9:30am–2:30pm (negotiable), 20–30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

- Run the roll former, making regular adjustments to keep product within spec

- Run other machines, including a press, slitting machines, a shrink wrapping machine, and manual and electric walkie stackers

- Bundle, label and pack finished product ready for sale

- Do basic machine cleaning and daily checks, and keep the work area tidy

- Help with general factory tasks, including cutting product to size, making up kit orders, and packing customer orders, including palletised orders

- Stocktaking, recording daily production quantities, booking couriers and using Claude (an AI assistant) for some tasks





About you

- A high standard of quality and an eye for detail as products must come off the machine straight and be packaged to look skilled. Near enough isn't good enough

- Mechanical aptitude: comfortable making adjustments to machines and spotting when something isn't right

- Experience on a roll former, press or similar production machine an advantage, but not required

- Reliable, punctual and happy working independently

- Fast with basic maths: measuring, cutting to length, counting stock and working out quantities

- Computer literate, as we use Claude for a few tasks

- Comfortable with repetitive work

- Forklift licence an advantage, but not necessary

- Own transport and steel-capped boots
