Senior Business Analyst

IQ Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with digital transformation and superannuation experience to join our consulting team.

This is an opportunity for a capable Business Analyst who enjoys working on meaningful technology and transformation initiatives across the superannuation industry

You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, architects and vendors to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and translate requirements into practical solutions.

Working across a variety of client engagements, you'll contribute to digital transformation initiatives, process improvement and technology delivery, helping clients achieve better business and customer outcomes.

What you will do

- Work across business analysis activities on technology and transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather and document business requirements.
- Undertake current-state and future-state process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and process documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, delivery teams, developers, architects and vendors to support solution delivery.
- Support testing activities, including developing test scenarios, reviewing outcomes and assisting with implementation.




- Help ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver the intended outcomes.
- Claims and underwriting digital uplift, including digital platforms, APIs and insurance processes.
- Member and employer communications improvements and transformation.
- Document management and communications platform initiatives.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within superannuation
- Experience working on technology, digital transformation or business improvement initiatives.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation and process mapping skills.
- Understanding of insurance processes
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with a range of business stakeholders.
- The ability to translate business needs into clear and practical requirements.
- An understanding of superannuation administration platforms, ideally including Sonata and/or SuperB.
- Exposure to claims, underwriting, APIs, digital platforms, insurance processes or complex financial services products will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a consulting and delivery team.
