Para Vista Primary School is a small school with approximately 180 students. We are seeking a teacher with highly developed skills in working within a small team environment, where planning, collaboration and flexibility are essential. Knowledge of and experience in teaching the Technologies curriculum R-6 - both digital technologies and design technologies- is highly desirable as this is a new specialist area for our students.
Trauma-informed practice underpins our whole-school approach to working with students and their families, and experience in this area is essential. Our staff team is collaborative and supportive, actively engaging in Qualified Learning Communities (PLCs), inclusive practices across classes, and shared responsibility for the success and wellbeing of all students.Our school community is highly diverse and inclusive, with a strong focus on belonging and respectful relationships.
With the possibility of an additional 0.2 backfill in a classroom, strong pedagogical practice, including an understanding of the DfE Scope and Sequence for phonics, and the ability to effectively differentiate teaching and learning across the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students is necessary.
