Swinger Hill Supermarket and cellars AMG Holdings (Australia) Pty Ltd as The trustee for GS Trust t/a Swinger Hill Supermarket and cellars are seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our Friendly grocer/Local Liquor store in Swinger Hill, ACT. As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading, overseeing and organising all aspects of our store's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

This is a full-time position minimum 38 hours per week based at our store at 84 Ainsworth st, Swinger Hill, ACT, 2606. Benefits We offer a competitive salary between $75,000 to $85,000 plus mandatory supennuation depending on skills and experience.

Task & responsibilities Manage the integrated grocery and liquor retail operations, coordinating staff, stock availability, customer service and daily trading activities across all retail sections. Plan and coordinate stock purchasing and replenishment by assessing sales trends, customer demand, supplier availability, product turnover and appropriate stock levels. Liaise with grocery and liquor suppliers to negotiate purchasing terms, pricing, delivery arrangements and product availability.

Monitor sales revenue, product margins, operating expenditure, stock losses and inventory discrepancies Implementing measures to improve profitability and control costs. Ordering, receiving, storage, rotation and display of grocery products, including perishable goods where applicable, to maintain product quality and minimise wastage. Formulate retail pricing strategies and monitor product gross margins, sales turnover, operational overheads,



and stock shrinkage to optimize store profitability and cost efficiency.

Supervise liquor retail operations and ensure compliance with applicable ACT liquor sale requirements, responsible service obligations and age-verification procedures. Coordinate staff recruitment, training, rostering and performance management to ensure adequate staffing coverage throughout the store's trading hours. Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale reconciliation, refunds and transaction records, and investigate discrepancies in accordance with established financial controls.

Develop and implement local marketing initiatives, promotional offers and product displays to attract customers, increase sales and improve customer retention. Monitor compliance with applicable food safety, workplace health and safety, security and retail operating requirements. Qualification & experience Diploma level relevant qualifications.
