About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical and Technical Specialist for Electric Cars to join the team at Zeekr Centre Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Albion, QLD 4010, and Indoorpilly. In this role, you will be at the forefront of the automotive industry's electric vehicle revolution, providing expert technical support and maintenance services for electric vehicles. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and that their electric vehicles operate at peak performance. This position is integral to our growing electric vehicle service centre and reflects our commitment to delivering specialised, high-quality automotive care in the rapidly evolving EV sector.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, battery management systems, and electric powertrains in electric vehicles

- Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing on electric vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications

- Conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections and identifying mechanical and technical issues

- Operating diagnostic equipment and software specific to electric vehicle technology

- Liaising with customers to explain technical issues, repair requirements and maintenance recommendations

- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation for all vehicles serviced

- Staying current with electric vehicle technology updates and manufacturer service bulletins

- Supporting the service team to ensure efficient workshop operations and customer satisfaction





- Adhering to all health and safety protocols and environmental regulations within the workshop

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in automotive mechanics, electrical systems, or equivalent trade qualification

- Proven experience servicing and repairing vehicles, with specific experience in electric vehicle technology highly desirable

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, battery technology, and hybrid/electric powertrain systems

- Competence in using diagnostic equipment and vehicle management software

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers

- A commitment to continuing professional development and staying updated with emerging EV technologies

- Current driver's licence and the ability to conduct road tests as required

- Reliability, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
