General Practice, is a family general medical practice located in Corrimal, NSW, providing primary healthcare and general medical services to the local community. We are currently seeking a full-time General Practitioner to join our team, with the role based in Corrimal, NSW.

This position is 38 hours per week, and the ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience and hold at least a bachelor qualification in a relevant field. A market-competitive salary of $98,000 to $102,000, plus superannuation, is on offer. Benefits Task & responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical consultations for patients across different age groups, obtaining detailed medical histories, assessing presenting symptoms and performing appropriate physical examinations to identify acute illnesses, chronic diseases, injuries and other health concerns.

Diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions commonly encountered in general practice, including respiratory infections, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal illnesses, musculoskeletal conditions and common childhood diseases, providing appropriate treatment and ongoing clinical care. Arrange and interpret diagnostic investigations, including pathology tests, blood examinations, X-rays, ultrasound imaging and other relevant assessments, using clinical findings to establish diagnoses, evaluate patients' health conditions and determine appropriate treatment options. Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans, prescribe appropriate medications, administer or arrange necessary treatments and regularly assess patients' responses to medical interventions, adjusting treatment strategies where clinically indicated.

Provide ongoing medical care for patients with chronic and complex health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and chronic respiratory illnesses,



conducting regular reviews, monitoring disease progression and coordinating long-term management to minimise complications. Deliver preventative healthcare services, including routine health assessments, immunisations, disease screening and early detection of medical conditions, while providing patients with practical advice on nutrition, physical activity, weight management, smoking cessation and other lifestyle measures that promote long-term health. Assess and manage patients presenting with mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression and stress-related conditions, developing appropriate initial management plans, monitoring treatment progress and coordinating referrals to psychologists, psychiatrists or other mental health professionals when required.

Provide women's health and reproductive healthcare services, including contraceptive counselling, cervical screening test collection, relevant health examinations and other preventative screening activities, while undertaking contraceptive implant insertion or removal where appropriately trained and authorised. Perform minor clinical and therapeutic procedures appropriate to a community general practice setting, including minor skin procedures, wound assessment and management, and intra-articular corticosteroid injections, subject to demonstrated clinical competency, available facilities and applicable supervision requirements. Undertake medically necessary home visits for patients experiencing significant illness or mobility limitations and participate in supervised consultations at residential aged care facilities, assessing residents' health conditions, reviewing medications and coordinating appropriate ongoing medical treatment,



subject to the necessary practice location and supervision approvals.

Identify patients requiring specialist assessment or additional healthcare support and arrange referrals to relevant medical specialists, hospitals, allied health practitioners and community healthcare providers, communicating clinical findings and treatment information to support coordinated patient care. Assess patients presenting with urgent or potentially serious medical conditions, provide appropriate initial treatment and stabilisation within the practice's clinical capabilities, and arrange emergency services, hospital admission or further medical intervention where necessary. Maintain accurate, comprehensive and confidential patient medical records, documenting consultation findings, diagnoses, investigation results, prescribed medications, treatment plans, clinical procedures, specialist referrals and follow-up arrangements in accordance with skilled and regulatory requirements.

Prepare medical certificates, clinical reports, referral letters and other required healthcare documentation, including the notification of reportable diseases and relevant medical events to appropriate government or public health authorities in accordance with applicable reporting obligations. Collaborate with the supervising General Practitioner, nursing staff, medical specialists and other healthcare professionals in reviewing complex patient cases, coordinating multidisciplinary care and supporting continuity of treatment, while maintaining clinical standards, patient safety and evidence-based medical practice.
