About the role

Sydney Core Holes is seeking experienced Core Drillers and Concrete Cutters, as well as trainees eager to develop their skills in this specialised field. This is a full-time position based in Alexandria, NSW 2015. As a Core Driller or Concrete Cutter, you will play a vital role in our operations, delivering precision cutting and drilling services to clients across various construction and renovation projects. Whether you are an experienced professional looking to advance your career or a trainee ready to learn from industry experts, this role offers significant opportunities for growth and development within the trades and services sector.

Key responsibilities

- Operate and maintain core drilling and concrete cutting equipment in compliance with safety standards and company protocols

- Perform precision drilling and cutting tasks on concrete, masonry and other construction materials to required specifications

- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate placement and depth of holes and cuts

- Prepare work sites and set up equipment, ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place before commencing work

- Inspect completed work to verify quality and adherence to project requirements

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and any issues encountered on site

- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as required

- Work collaboratively with other team members and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

- For trainees:



undertake structured training and mentoring to develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals

What we're looking for

- For Experienced Candidates: Proven experience in core drilling or concrete cutting with a track record of delivering quality workmanship

- For Trainees: A strong willingness to learn, reliability and commitment to developing a career in the trades

- Valid driver's licence and capacity to travel to various job sites across Sydney

- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions

- High level of safety awareness and commitment to following workplace health and safety protocols

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- For Experienced Candidates: Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications and licenses (such as Confined Spaces, Work at Heights or similar)

- For Trainees: Willingness to undertake formal training and obtain relevant qualifications

- Excellent communication skills and professional conduct with clients and team members
