Job Description

YLZ Truck bodies is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Vehicle Body Builder to join their team in Pakenham VIC. The successful applicant will need to undertake:

- Construct vehicle sections in several materials using shaping machines and cutting and welding equipment
- Select, cut and sew pieces of fabric, vinyl and leather using heavy-duty sewing machines
- Modify assembly line vehicles to special requirements
- Bolt, screw, rivet and weld vehicle sections together
- Preparing new vehicle trim work
- Instal internal trim in vehicles such as lining, floor coverings and armrests
- Attach door trims, rubber seals, locks and handles





Skills & Attributes:

- Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations
- Bus, Truck and Trailer or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Body Builder
- Ability to read and interpret drawings to a high standard
- Safety first attitude
