People & Capability Partner | Bega Valley, NSW

$160,000 package (incl. super) bonus

The Opportunity

Miller Leith is partnering with a large, well-established Australian food manufacturing business to appoint a People & Capability Partner at one of its key manufacturing sites in the beautiful Bega Valley. This is a rare chance to get the scale, stability and resources of a major national business while working with the autonomy of a standalone role. You’ll own the HR function on site and work directly with the Site Leader as their trusted people partner.

You’ll be hands-on and visible, with a real opportunity to shape culture, lift leadership capability and make a change you can see.

You’ll run the site with genuine independence, and you’ll have the backing of an experienced broader P&C; team whenever you need it.

The Role

Working side by side with the Site Leader and operational teams, you’ll be the go-to HR partner across the full employee lifecycle. Your focus will be employee relations, industrial relations and building strong frontline leaders.

Key responsibilities

- Act as a trusted advisor to the Site Leader, helping shape the site’s people agenda and priorities.
- Provide practical, hands-on HR and ER/IR advice to operational leaders.
- Manage workplace investigations, performance matters and complex employee issues from start to finish.
- Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment legislation.
- Coach frontline leaders and build leadership capability across the site.
- Support workforce planning, engagement and labour management.
- Drive consistent, effective HR processes, and spend real time building relationships on the factory floor.

About You





You’re a hands-on HR professional who does your best work out on site, not behind a desk. You enjoy operational environments, build credibility quickly with leaders and employees, and want a role where you can see the impact you’re making.

You’ll ideally bring

- Experience in a site-based HRBP or standalone HR role.
- Strong ER/IR knowledge, including running workplace investigations.
- Experience with Enterprise Agreements and blue-collar workforces.
- The confidence to influence, challenge and coach senior operational leaders.
- A practical, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.

Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing, logistics or other operational industries will be highly regarded. What’s on Offer
