HPA Incorporated is seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds and Maintenance Assistant to join our Breaking Ground team. Breaking Ground provides grounds maintenance, gardening, property maintenance and cleaning services to homes and businesses across Greater Darwin and Palmerston. About the role The current vacancy is offered as casual employment only.
Working under the direction of the Breaking Grounds Supervisor, you will assist with a range of outdoor maintenance and property services.
Key responsibilities
- Lawn mowing, gardening and general grounds maintenance
- Garden and plant care, fertilising and weed control
- Litter removal and maintaining tidy outdoor areas
- General property and building maintenance
- Loading vehicles and preparing machinery and equipment for daily tasks
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery and equipment
- Following work instructions, procedures and protected work practices
- Participating in pre-start meetings and toolbox discussions
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
About you
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Can follow instructions and complete tasks safely
- Is willing to learn and develop new skills
- Can work as part of a team
- Takes pride in their work and maintains a tidy work environment
- Has a positive attitude and good customer service skills
- An NDIS workers' clearance or eligible to apply
- A current NT Working with Children Ochre Card
- A National Police Clearance
