We're seeking a strategic and commercially minded Head of Technology to lead the global Product, Design and Engineering function for Independents. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll shape technology strategy, influence executive decision-making, and drive product outcomes across a multi-brand, multi-region portfolio supporting independent travel advisors. Leading the evolution of technology from a delivery function to a strategic business partner, while championing AI-enabled innovation across product, engineering, and design.

Day in the life:

- Own and lead the Independents Product, Management and Engineering roadmap aligned to commercial objectives and divisional OKRs
- Translate strategic business priorities into actionable product and technology initiatives with clear commercial outcomes
- Lead quarterly and annual planning cycles, including OKR reviews, prioritisation, and trade-off decisions

- Oversee a diverse product portfolio including advisor tools, booking and ticketing systems, CRM platforms, and customer-facing digital products
- Drive outcome-based product management practices with measurable advisor and business results
- Provide senior leadership and direction across engineering, product management, and design functions

- Champion the adoption of AI technologies, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities across product, engineering, and design lifecycles
- Lead and develop a globally distributed team while fostering capability, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and represent Product, Management and Engineering in senior leadership forums

- Manage technical risk, platform reliability, security, budget accountability, and commercial performance
- Deliver product-enabled growth, operational efficiencies, and profit contribution targets across the portfolio

You'll thrive in the role, if you have:

- Minimum 7 years' experience in IT delivering reliable, high-quality technology solutions




- Demonstrated success leading product, technology, or engineering functions within complex environments
- Experience working with OKRs as part of a broader product ecosystem
- Strong project and product management experience, ideally within the travel industry
- Experience with Agile Development and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) methodologies

- Proven ability to deliver technology outcomes aligned to business objectives and commercial results
- Ability to lead organisational change and navigate industry disruption
- Strong understanding of software delivery, technology operations, and emerging technology trends

- Experience influencing both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience within travel agency, online travel distribution, retail, or internet-scale businesses highly regarded
- Experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps for user stories, sprint planning, and roadmap management

- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL frameworks, and project delivery methodologies such as Agile or Prince2
