About Syenta Syenta is pioneering a new era in semiconductor manufacturing with our groundbreaking Localized Electrochemical Manufacturing (LEM) technology. Our manufacturing products build cutting edge advanced packaging for the semiconductor industry by combining patterning and metallization into a single tool. We do that by achieving high-speed, high-resolution metallization at significantly lower costs and energy use, while minimizing emissions and waste. Founded in Australia, our growing footprint in the US represents a key milestone in our journey. We are building a world-class team where seasoned engineers and ambitious emerging talent collaborate to solve some of the toughest challenges in semiconductor manufacturing.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Metrology Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers a clear progression path to develop into a metrology expert as our capabilities expand. You will be tasked with measuring, inspecting, and characterizing semiconductor wafers, microfabricated stamps, and precision features using advanced metrology equipment. Collaborating closely with our engineering and process development teams, you will help ensure that measurements are accurate, repeatable, and delivered promptly to support technical decisions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision equipment, solving practical problems, and taking ownership of their work.

What You'll Do
• Measurement & Inspection: Perform dimensional, surface, and defect measurements on semiconductor wafers, stamps, and microfabricated structures.

• Equipment Operation: Operate optical microscopes, profilometers, scanning electron microscopes (SEM), and other precision measurement equipment.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Accurately record, organize, and communicate measurement results, identifying anomalies and trends.
• Process Development Support: Work with engineers to characterize experimental samples, validate process performance, and investigate defects.
• Equipment Readiness: Conduct routine equipment checks, calibration verification, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist with developing and improving measurement procedures, inspection workflows, and equipment usage.
• Cleanroom Operations: Safely handle sensitive samples and equipment while following cleanroom protocols and contamination control requirements. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, materials science, physics, electronics, or a related discipline, or close to graduating in one of these areas.
• Practical experience in metrology, microscopy, laboratory testing, precision manufacturing, semiconductor processing, or a related technical field.
• Confidence in operating, maintaining,

or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Solid attention to detail and knowledge of measurement accuracy and repeatability.
• Ability to record and interpret technical data and clearly communicate findings.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to solving problems.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results efficiently.
• Willingness to learn recent equipment, processes, and techniques. Highly Regarded, But Not Essential
• Experience with optical profilometry, stylus profilometry, SEM, or automated inspection systems.
• Experience handling semiconductor wafers or working in a cleanroom environment.
• Familiarity with surface roughness, feature dimensions, film thickness, or defect inspection.
• Experience with measurement software, image analysis, or statistical process control. Why Choose Syenta? We’re passionate about building a diverse, people-first company. Our culture of collaboration and mutual respect fuels innovation capable of redefining an industry. At Syenta, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, lead high-impact teams, and shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing.
