Professional services business requires a solid Senior Accountant to support the Financial Controller.

Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing key financial accounting activities, owning the month-end reporting and contributing to continuous improvement across financial processes.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss variance analysis and month-end commentary
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing manual journals, including monthly accruals
- Preparing income tax requirements, including FBT, BAS and annual tax return information
- Supporting the annual audit and financial statements process
- Investigating and documenting key accounting estimates and judgement areas in line with accounting standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and controls as the organisation continues to grow





You will also support the implementation of a new ERP system and will help to drive change throughout the finance team and wider business.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting capability and a genuine interest in process improvement. You will bring an inquisitive nature, a proactive approach to your work and a genuine interest in improving processes and systems to benefit both the team and the business. A mix of commercial and business services experience would be ideal, as the Financial Controller would like this person to take on tax compliance activities.
