The base hospital is a Level 3/4 facility serving a substantial community with a strong health network and cooperative care across midwives, paediatricians and family health services.

The role involves on-call duties, leadership within a multidisciplinary team, and opportunities for teaching, research and quality improvement in a regional setting.
