Swimming instructor – Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre

The City of Onkaparinga operates the Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC), a leading community facility in southern Adelaide. Each year, we welcome around 300,000 visitors.

The centre includes a 25m lap and program pool, a family pool, a fully equipped gym, squash courts, multi-purpose sports courts and a busy kiosk. We support everything from everyday recreation to major regional events. We are a welcoming, inclusive and professional workplace. We support our people to grow, build their skills and deliver great experiences for our community.

About the role

As a swimming instructor, you deliver secure, engaging lessons for people of all ages and abilities as part of our Learn to Swim program. This is an excellent position for an individual who is seeking work across weekends and afternoons to fit around their study or family commitments.





Key responsibilities

- teach swimming skills and water safety
- plan lessons based on individual ability
- monitor progress and provide feedback
- ensure safety in and around the pool
- respond to emergency situations

- reliability and a positive attitude

Qualifications and requirements

You must hold or be willing to obtain:

- AUSTSWIM (or equivalent) Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- Provide First Aid and CPR
- Working with Children Check
- Child Safe Environments training
