Opes Accounting Group Pty Ltd – Malvern VIC

Opes Accounting Group Pty Ltd is a growing, client-focused firm with offices on Glenferrie Road, Malvern (Melbourne), and in Echuca. You will work alongside experienced Managers, gain hands-on exposure to a diverse client portfolio, and receive the training and study support you need to become a qualified professional. All work is performed in the office, where you will receive direct, face-to-face guidance from your managers.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and help meet other compliance requirements
- Provide accounting and taxation support to a diverse range of clients
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting workpapers
- Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and documentation
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting functions
- Develop your understanding of taxation legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Work with the wider team to deliver efficient, high-quality client service

About you

- A university degree in accounting, or you are in the final year of your degree
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines




- Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
