About the Role

As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring, managing and growing a diversified portfolio of SME and Commercial Banking customers.

You will leverage your existing networks, referral sources and business development skills to attract new-to-bank customers while deepening existing relationships.



Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will deliver tailored banking solutions that help customers achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Acquire and grow a portfolio of SME and Commercial Banking customers
- Generate new business through referral partners, networking and community engagement
- Identify opportunities across lending, deposits, transaction banking, trade finance and foreign exchange
- Structure appropriate banking solutions that meet customer needs and risk requirements
- Prepare high-quality credit applications and customer reviews
- Build trusted relationships through proactive portfolio management
- Partner with Credit, Operations and Product teams to deliver timely customer outcomes
- Maintain strong risk management, compliance and credit quality standards
- Represent Bank of Sydney within the local business community

About You

You are an experienced relationship banker with a passion for business development and customer success.

You will bring:

- At least 5 years' experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking
- A proven track record of winning current business and growing customer relationships
- Strong networks across accountants, brokers, solicitors and business advisers
- Experience in commercial lending, credit analysis and deal structuring
- Sound knowledge of SME and Commercial Banking products and services
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
- A strong understanding of risk management and responsible lending practices
