【About the team/role】

The City Operations team drives business growth and operational performance across Australia and New Zealand. We turn business insights into actionable strategies and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.

This role combines operations strategy, data analysis, and hands-on AI and automation development. You will identify business opportunities and process bottlenecks, build practical tools and workflows, and help the team adopt more efficient ways of working. We are looking for someone who can take a business problem from initial analysis through solution design, implementation, and impact evaluation.

【In this role you will be...】

- Develop and execute operational strategies through business analysis, chance identification, and ongoing performance tracking.
- Review day-to-day operational processes, identify efficiency bottlenecks, and build workflows using AI, data analysis, and automation tools. Applications include data processing, KPI monitoring, anomaly alerts, and report generation.
- Develop reusable tools, workflows, and operating practices, and support their adoption to strengthen the team’s analytical, execution, and AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, Algorithms, and Engineering teams to test, launch, and roll out tools and workflows, continuously improving usability, reliability, and business impact.

- A bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in operations strategy, data analysis, or business process improvement, with hands-on experience building workflows using AI, code, or automation platforms.
- Strong business understanding and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate operational challenges into clear analytical approaches and practical solutions.
- Practical experience applying AI and building multi-step workflows that connect large language models, data sources, and business tools through automation platforms or code.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, and API integration, with the ability to independently build, debug, and maintain practical tools.
- Strong execution and project delivery skills, with the ability to take solutions from requirements gathering and prototyping through rollout and adoption, and measure their impact on efficiency and business outcomes.
- Robust communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to help colleagues adopt AI tools and communicate effectively in English in day-to-day work.
- Reducing manual work, improving analytical efficiency, or delivering better business outcomes through automation would be an advantage.
