NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer, operating Pajingo Gold Mine, a long-established underground gold mining operation located approximately 50 km south of Charters Towers in North Queensland. Pajingo is recognised for its high-grade epithermal gold deposits and its commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

NQM Gold 2 is seeking an experienced and strategic Exploration Manager to lead our Queensland exploration and resource definition programs. Based at the Pajingo Gold Operation on an attractive 12/9 roster or residential in Charters Towers, this is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in driving exploration success, resource growth, and operational excellence.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing exploration and resource definition strategies, managing budgets, leading a team of geologists and technical professionals, and ensuring compliance with tenement, environmental, and statutory requirements.

This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and people management to support the long‑term success of the Pajingo operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead exploration and resource definition programs across NQM Gold 2's Queensland tenements.
- Develop and manage exploration budgets, forecasts, and drilling programs.
- Drive target generation, resource growth, and conversion strategies.




- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical direction to exploration and geology teams.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure compliance with mining legislation, environmental requirements, and tenement obligations.
- Prepare and present technical, budget, and Board reports.
- Act as SSE for NQM Gold 2 Regional EPMs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Geology or related discipline.
- Exploration SSE Ticket
- Extensive experience managing regional exploration programs.
- Strong background in epithermal gold systems.
- Knowledge of IRGS, porphyry gold and VMS systems.
- Experience with geological software such as Leapfrog, Micromine, or Vulcan.
- Strong understanding of Queensland mining legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, budget management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent technical reporting and communication abilities.
