About the client

DMC Recruitment is partnering with a large infrastructure client operating in a regulated setting. Regulatory finance is central to how the business plans, invests and reports, which makes this a high-impact role.

The role

This team is the link between the operational business and the regulatory function. You’ll turn commercial decisions into regulatory outcomes, and make sure regulatory requirements are understood across the business. It suits someone who enjoys both commercial and regulatory finance and wants to use both every day.

You’ll own the financial models and reporting behind regulatory submissions, business planning and investment decisions.

What you’ll do

- Act as the go-between for the business and the regulatory team, translating commercial activity into regulatory terms and back again




- Own and develop the financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis, business planning and regulatory submissions
- Analyse actuals and forecasts through both a commercial and a regulatory lens, flagging trends, risks and variances for senior leaders
- Deliver regulatory financial reporting and submissions
- Provide financial analysis, challenge and assurance on business cases and investment proposals
- Strengthen reporting processes, controls and data integrity
- Lead, coach and develop a team of three

What you’ll bring

- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience across both commercial finance and regulatory finance, ideally in a utility or infrastructure business
- Advanced financial modelling skills
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and how they shape commercial decisions
- The ability to influence and challenge both operational leaders and regulatory specialists
- A track record of improving reporting processes and controls
- Team leadership experience
