Reliability Engineer – Join a Leading Buy-Side Firm in Sydney

Are you a seasoned Reliability Engineer with a passion for high-performance trading systems? My client is looking for talented professionals from Big-Tech or Buy-Side backgrounds to join their energetic team.

About the Role:

You will take full ownership of firm's global trading infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, speed, and robustness across multiple markets and exchanges. Your expertise will drive the optimisation and seamless operation of critical production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and enhance the stability and efficiency of our trading technology stack, including connectivity with exchanges worldwide.
- Develop and implement automation tools for deployment, monitoring, configuration management, and incident resolution to streamline operations.
- Collaborate directly with Traders,



Developers, and Risk teams to resolve urgent production issues and actively support live trading during non-traditional hours, including weekends.

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Linux Systems, or Network Engineering.
- Strong skills in Linux environments, networking protocols, Python, and Shell scripting. Proficiency in C++ is a plus.
- Comfortable working flexible hours to provide critical front-line support during peak trading periods.
