Skills And Experience

Five years post-admission experience in family law

Strong knowledge of Federal Circuit and Family Court practice, procedures, and rules

Able to communicate with high-level client management, demonstrating a strong understanding of the client’s matters and managing/meeting client’s expectations

Exceptional organisational and negotiation skills

The ability to work independently and autonomously with a strong work ethic

High level of emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy, clarity and perspective-taking when liaising with clients

High level of attention to detail and focus on client outcomes

Precision and accuracy in the management of deadlines

Under the guidance of Recent South Lawyers’ Directors you will be given the opportunity to assist in family law matters, as well as play a team role in large complex matters. These may include:

Complex property settlements

Children's issues including parenting and child support assessments

Multi-party disputes
