Lead HR systems, payroll and project initiatives in a varied EL1 role

Are you someone who understands SAP in an HR/payroll operational environment and can lead projects, testing, reporting and business processes? We are NOT looking for a backend SAP technical person.
Your current roleAn opportunity is available for an experienced EL1 HR professional with strong SAP HR/payroll and project delivery experience to lead a broad portfolio of HR systems and operational initiatives.
Working across HR systems, payroll, projects and reporting, you will:

- Lead HR-related projects and initiatives
- Provide functional SAP HR/payroll advice and SME support
- Coordinate SAP system updates, testing and implementation activities
- Support HR and payroll processing and advisory matters
- Analyse HR data and prepare reporting
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Review and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Contribute to FOI, Senate Estimates and procurement activities

Importantly, this is not a backend SAP technical role.



The focus is on applying SAP knowledge within an HR/payroll environment and leading the associated business processes, projects and system changes.
What you'll need to succeedYou will bring:

- Strong SAP HR/payroll functional experience
- Demonstrated HR project management and delivery experience
- HR/payroll operations and reporting capability
- Experience with systems testing, implementation or system/process change
- Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills
- SAP and/or Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded
