About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving critical plant equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance, installation and overhaul of fixed plant equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic systems




- Execute preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
- Complete shutdown and turnaround maintenance safely and efficiently
- Assist with plant upgrades, modifications and new equipment installations
- Work within refinery and industrial process environments including high-risk areas
- Maintain strict compliance with site safety and quality procedures

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Valid Working at Heights certification (within 2 years)
- Valid Confined Space certification (within 2 years)
- Construction Induction Card (White or Blue Card)
- Ability to pass pre-employment and site medical testing

Local candidates are preferred; however, accommodation may be available for suitable applicants.

Highly Regarded

- Rigging and/or Forklift tickets
- Previous South32 Worsley Refinery experience
