About the role

We are seeking a Qualified and Experienced Machinist to join our dynamic team at Global Manufacturing Group in Maryborough, QLD. As a Qualified and skilled Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, using your expertise to operate and maintain a range of machinery and equipment to the highest standards. CNC Mazak Mill and Lathe experience would be considered a big avantage.

This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our well-established company.

What you'll be doing

- Operate and maintain a variety of metalworking CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines with high precision and efficiency

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work orders to ensure accurate and compliant production

- Perform jobing shop style machine setups, adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal performance and quality output

- Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot any issues, making necessary adjustments and repairs to maintain productivity

- Ensure all work is completed within specified timelines and to the highest quality standards

- Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all relevant health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

- Completed trade qualifications in Fitting, Turning or Machining, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience

- Excellent technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings,



specifications and work orders

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly

- Commitment to maintaining high levels of quality, safety and efficiency in all aspects of your work

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Australian work rights are required for this position
