Sales & Account Manager – AustraliaWashbox | Sydney | Construction | Field Sales & Account Development

$120,000–$130,000 + super + vehicle + uncapped commissionHelp drive the next stage of Washbox growth in AustraliaWashbox is changing the way construction projects manage tool washing and liquid waste.

Our systems provide construction companies and trades with a better way to wash tools, reduce water use, capture liquid waste, protect site plumbing and improve the way washout is managed on construction projects.

The technology is proven.

Washbox has now been used across more than 600 projects globally, with products operating across multiple countries, strong customer feedback and real-world usage captured through our digital platform.

We have an established Australian hire fleet, a growing product range and a significant pipeline of construction projects.

We are now looking for an experienced salesperson to help drive the next stage of growth.

The roleThis is a hands-on sales and account development role focused on the construction market.

Most Washbox business is won project by project.

Your primary job will be to identify active and upcoming construction projects, get in front of the right people, understand how the project is currently managing tool washing and liquid waste, and convert those opportunities into Washbox hire and product sales.

You might be speaking with a Project Manager in the morning, an Environmental Manager later that day and following up a procurement contact or existing national customer in the afternoon.

You need to be comfortable operating at all of those levels.

But this is first and foremost a field sales role.

What you will be sellingYou will be responsible for growing both our hire business and our expanding product range, including:

- Washbox hire systems
- Rocket
- RollerWash
- Rover
- Accessories and consumables

Our technical and operational teams support equipment deployment, servicing, user support and more involved product demonstrations. Your job is to find opportunities, develop relationships and win business.

What you will be doingYou will:

- Identify active and upcoming construction and fitout projects
- Prospect and develop new customers
- Get in front of project teams and key decision-makers
- Convert opportunities into Washbox hire and product sales
- Increase utilisation of our Australian hire fleet
- Drive sales of Rocket, RollerWash and Rover

- Follow up opportunities consistently and professionally
- Develop existing customers across additional projects
- Maintain relationships with builders, fitout companies, contractors and trades
- Identify the next project within existing customer organisations
- Build relationships with project managers, site teams, environmental and sustainability personnel, procurement and other relevant stakeholders
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and CRM discipline
- Coordinate demonstrations and technical support when required
- Work with our technicians and operations team to ensure customers are supported
- Work directly with the founder on important opportunities and strategic relationships

Account development mattersMany of our customers are large construction and fitout organisations operating across multiple projects. However, experience has shown us that construction sales still happen largely at project level.

A relationship with the wider organisation can help create introductions, credibility and future opportunities, but it doesn't replace the need to engage individual projects and win the business.

That means we need someone who understands both sides.

You need to be capable of winning the first project and disciplined enough to develop the relationship afterwards.

A successful project should create the prospect for the next project.

Over time, those individual wins build strong relationships across major customer organisations.

Who we are looking forYou will ideally already have experience selling into construction, building or a closely related industry.

Your background might be in:

- Construction equipment
- Equipment hire
- Building products
- Power tools
- Commercial paint or coatings
- Construction chemicals
- Site services
- Environmental products
- Safety products
- Construction technology

Existing relationships within commercial construction or fitout would be valuable, but they are not a substitute for the ability to create new business. We are particularly interested in someone who:

- Enjoys being out in the market rather than sitting behind a desk
- Is comfortable approaching construction projects and new customers
- Can find the person who actually makes the decision
- Knows how to turn a conversation into a commercial opportunity
- Is confident dealing with Project Managers, Site Managers and contractors
- Can also build credible relationships with senior stakeholders
- Has strong follow-up and account management discipline
- Is persistent without being pushy
- Works independently and takes ownership
- Understands that good sales activity means asking for the business
- Can manage both new opportunities and existing customers
- Is commercially focused and motivated by results

Why Washbox? You will be selling something genuinely different. Washbox is not another version of an established construction commodity. We are helping establish a better way for the industry to manage a problem that exists on virtually every construction and fitout project.

You will also be joining the business at an exciting stage.

The technology has been proven, the customer base exists, the product range is expanding and there is considerable room for further growth in Australia.

You will have

- Significant autonomy
- Direct access to the founder
- Established products and operating support
- An existing customer and project base
- A significant pipeline of future opportunities
- Technical support in the field
- A straightforward uncapped commission structure
- The opportunity to have a visible impact on the growth of the Australian business

Remuneration$120,000–$130,000 base salary, depending on experience

Plus

- Superannuation
- Fully maintained vehicle or vehicle allowance
- Uncapped commission
- Phone and laptop
- Interstate travel expenses where required

A strong performer should expect total earnings materially above base salary, with no artificial cap on the upside created by successful sales performance. LocationSydney based.

The role involves regular travel across Sydney and NSW, with interstate travel as required.

The person we wantWe're looking for someone who sees a major construction project and starts thinking:

Who is running it? Who should I speak to? What are they doing now? And how do I get Washbox onto that site?

Then, once they have won that project:

Where is this customer building next?

- If that sounds like the way you sell, we'd like to hear from you.
