A Team Kitchen Cafe operated by RABIE HOSPITALITY WATSONIA PTY LTD, is a dynamic and vibrant venue that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all types of patrons, from families to tradies and beyond. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality cuisine in a relaxed yet lively setting.

The Role:

We are looking for a full-time, creative Chef with a passion for fine cuisine to join our talented team. As part of your role, you will:

1. Support the head chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, taking over responsibilities during their absence.

2. Periodically review the menu and propose new dishes in line with seasonal ingredients.

3. Calculate the costs of new dishes and manage any price changes on the existing menu.

4. Oversee junior kitchen staff, ensuring they use proper cooking techniques, correct portioning, and maintain excellent dish presentation.

5.



Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) regulations within the kitchen.

6. Monitor the freshness of ingredients, adhering to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method for stock rotation. The Applicant: We are looking for someone who loves what they do.

You will need: 1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.

2. At least 1 year of full-time experience in a similar position.

3. Ability to produce high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

4. Strong knowledge of sanitation and OH&S; regulations.

5. Flexibility to work , weekends, and public holidays.
