About the role:

Based at our site in Tonsley, the Facilities Hand plays a key supporting role in the day-to-day operations of site facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for providing hands-on assistance across a broad range of non-technical facility-related tasks. The role is integral to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient working workplace across the site, ensuring facility readiness, logistical support, and compliance with basic workplace safety standards.

As the successful candidate you will:

- Assist in workspace setup, relocation, and reconfiguration of non-fixed infrastructure and furniture.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, workspaces, and storage zones in accordance with 5S and site protocols.
- Report facility damage, hazards, or irregularities to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
- Support site-wide event or meeting room setup as required, including coordination of materials, furniture, and utilities.
- Execute general housekeeping tasks including rubbish removal, sweeping, spot cleaning, and spill control support.




- Manage disposal and sorting of general and recyclable waste in alignment with site environmental standards.
- Monitor and replenish stock of basic consumables (first aid refills, PPE bins, etc.) across designated facility zones.
- Support the receipt, handling, and internal transport of equipment, tools, and non-sensitive deliveries.
- Assist with material organisation within storage areas and facilitate clean, accessible equipment zones.
- Operate trolleys, pallet jacks, and other manual handling aids within safe work practices.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, stores, and quality teams to support operational needs.

About you:

The skills and qualifications needed for you to thrive include:

- Demonstrated experience in a general hand, facilities, warehousing, or a support role.
- Be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, pushing, and walking for extended periods.
- Have a basic understanding of safe work practices and manual handling procedures.
- Hand tool skills
- A forklift licence or willingness to obtain.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and workplace visual controls.
- Previous experience in a production or industrial site environment
- An ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance – Australian Government Security (AGSVA) clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1 or above)
