Working closely with the NPD and manufacturing teams, you will develop innovative products, optimise existing formulations and support the transition from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing. Great opportunity for a technically capable, hands-on professional who enjoys working across both product development and factory production.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and commercialise protein bars, nutritional snacks and extruded food products.
- Create and optimise high-protein, low-sugar and functional food formulations.
- Conduct product trials, sensory testing and shelf-life assessments.
- Support extrusion, mixing, forming, coating and manufacturing processes.




- Troubleshoot formulation and production challenges to improve product quality and consistency.
- Work with production, quality and commercial teams to successfully launch current products.
- Identify opportunities to improve ingredient performance, manufacturing efficiency and product costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and FSANZ requirements.

About You

- Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in food product development or manufacturing.
- Ideally, direct experience developing protein bars, nutritional snacks or extruded food products.
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation and commercial production.
- Experience conducting practical factory trials and scaling products for manufacturing.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Australian food standards.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
