Brisbane

- 6 month role with possible extension
- Brisbane CBD location

Our Queensland Government client is seeking a Senior Advisor (Network/Data) to provide shared network and data capability across all National Automated Access System (NAAS) releases, supporting the collection, validation, conversion and stewardship of road, structure, access and business-rule datasets required to enable accurate automated access decisions for State-controlled roads, local government roads and future vehicle class releases. You will maintain a consolidated view of NAAS data readiness, coordinate inputs from multiple data owners and support the transition of validated datasets and stewardship responsibilities into enduring business ownership.

Key responsibilities

- Establish and maintain a consolidated, release-wide view of NAAS network and data readiness across crane, Performance Based Standards (PBS) and future vehicle class releases.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, validation and conversion of road, route, structure, restriction, condition, access and business-rule data from districts, regions, structures, local governments, policy teams, operations and asset owners.
- Assess dataset completeness, consistency, traceability and fitness for operational use, and document data gaps, quality issues, dependencies and remediation requirements.
- Support the translation of existing access arrangements, operational conditions and decision logic into NAAS-ready data structures and configuration inputs.
- Provide data inputs and evidence packs for User Acceptance Testing, system validation, defect triage and resolution where automated access outcomes are affected by data quality or business-rule configuration.
- Track and report data remediation actions, unresolved defects, release dependencies, residual risks and escalation requirements across NAAS workstreams.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, lineage records, decision records and stewardship products that support operational use,

auditability and future network expansion.
- Work collaboratively with project, policy, operational, technical, TMR district, regional, Structures, local government, NHVR, the NAAS national project team and asset-owner stakeholders to resolve network and data issues.
- Prepare explicit technical advice, data-readiness reporting, briefings and recommendations for project governance, operational and executive decision-making.
- Support the handover of NAAS datasets, unresolved issues, remediation actions and data stewardship responsibilities to nominated enduring business owners.

Expected deliverables

- A release-wide NAAS data-readiness tracker covering State-controlled roads, local government roads, crane release requirements, PBS release requirements and future vehicle class dependencies.
- Validated network, route, restriction, condition, structure and access datasets suitable for NAAS configuration and automated access decision-making.
- Data gap, quality issue, remediation, dependency and escalation logs maintained across NAAS release workstreams.
- Data inputs and evidence packs supporting UAT, system validation, defect triage and release-readiness assurance.
- Business-rule and access-condition data documentation supporting operational use, traceability, auditability and future stewardship.
- Release-readiness advice confirming data status, unresolved defects, residual risks, required decisions and post-release remediation actions.
- Handover products for enduring business owners, including data lineage, decision records, unresolved risks,

prioritised actions and stewardship responsibilities.

Capability
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience in network data, spatial or asset information, data analysis, data quality, transport network management, heavy vehicle access or a closely related environment. They will have a sound understanding of how road, route, structure, restriction, condition and operational data supports access decisions, system configuration and network-based service delivery.
- The role requires the ability to analyse and reconcile information from multiple sources, identify data gaps and dependencies, apply structured quality-assurance methods and translate operational and business requirements into clear, traceable and implementation-ready data products. Demonstrated experience supporting system implementation, data conversion, UAT, defect resolution, release readiness, data governance or business transition will be highly regarded.
- Sound stakeholder engagement and coordination skills are essential, including the ability to work effectively with technical specialists, policy and project teams, operational areas, road and asset managers, districts, regions, local governments and external delivery partners. The successful candidate will also possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare data documentation, technical advice, reports, briefings and recommendations for technical, operational and executive audiences.

Relevant qualifications or substantial experience in data or information management, geographic information systems, transport, engineering, planning, asset or network management, information systems, business analysis or a related discipline will be favourably regarded.
