We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join a professional accounting and finance team based in Melbourne.

This opportunity is ideal for Accounting, Finance or Commerce students and recent graduates looking to gain practical Australian industry experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations and accounting software.

Key Learning Activities

- Gain exposure to bookkeeping and general accounting procedures
- Assist with bank reconciliations and financial record-keeping under supervision
- Learn about accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Support the preparation of financial reports and working papers
- Gain exposure to BAS, GST and Australian taxation procedures
- Develop practical skills using Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks
- Assist with financial data entry and documentation
- Learn about Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Participate in supervised accounting and finance projects

Skills & Requirements

- Currently studying or recently completed Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related qualification
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Positive Microsoft Excel skills




- Familiarity with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks is advantageous
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous accounting experience is advantageous but not essential.
