About the Role

Fremantle Mosque is looking for a creative, proactive, and experienced Social Media Marketing Manager to take ownership of our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

We’re starting with essentially zero followers and want someone who can help us build a thriving, engaged online community from the ground up.

We’re not just looking for someone to schedule posts. We want someone who understands social media trends, knows how to create engaging content, and can develop and execute a strategy to consistently grow our following.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute an organic social media growth strategy.
- Plan, create, write, and schedule engaging content, including Reels, graphics, stories, and posts.
- Manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts independently.
- Engage with followers and build an active online community.
- Showcase mosque events, activities, and community initiatives.
- Stay on top of social media trends and identify current growth opportunities.
- Track performance and continuously improve results.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience growing Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Strong content creation, copywriting, and storytelling skills.
- A good understanding of organic growth and community engagement.
- Someone creative, organised, and up to date with social media trends.
- Someone who can work autonomously,



take initiative, and get things done without constant direction.

How the Role Works

This is a freelance/contract position with a high level of autonomy.

You’ll have creative freedom to develop and execute your own strategy, with minimal oversight outside of a monthly meeting.

We can assist with content shoots, provide people for videos, and give you access to mosque events and activities to capture content.

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who can take the reins and proactively grow our online presence.
