About the Role

The Enrolled Nurse Transition to Mental Health Nursing Program is designed to support newly qualified and experienced Enrolled Nurses who are seeking to develop their careers within the specialised field of mental health nursing. The program provides a structured and supportive pathway into mental health practice, enabling participants to build contemporary mental health knowledge, strengthen clinical skills, and develop confidence in delivering recovery-oriented care within a mental health setting.

Recognising that mental health nursing is a specialised area of practice and that opportunities for Enrolled Nurses to gain experience in this field can be limited, the program offers a unique opportunity to transition into mental health nursing while receiving guidance, mentorship, and support from experienced mental health nurses.

The 12-month program incorporates both clinical and professional development components, including supported clinical practice, education and reflective practice sessions.
