Omnicom Earned Group are looking for a Consumer Executive to join their Sydney or Melbourne team, commencing in 2027.

ABOUT ELEVEN, FLEISHMANHILLARD & WEBER SHANDWICK

Eleven, FleishmanHillard and Weber Shandwick are part of the Omnicom Oceania earned centre of excellence —three agency teams with different strengths, united by a belief in the power of ideas, stories and culture to make a meaningful impact.

The three agencies are co-located. This role works predominately across FleishmanHilllard.

Eleven is one of ANZ's most awarded agencies, with work recognised across leading creative and communications awards.

FleishmanHillard and Weber Shandwick are part of global agency networks. That brings the opportunity to learn from colleagues around the world, draw on international perspectives and specialist expertise, and collaborate on ideas that can travel across markets.

As part of Omnicom Oceania, we bring together different disciplines and capabilities—from PR, social and creators to creative, media and production—to help brands engage people in relevant, surprising and memorable ways. For an early-career Executive, this means a chance to work across agency teams, see how creative ideas take shape and grow your skills in a lively, collaborative environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY A curious, energetic starter with a feel for the news and the drive to make good stories happen.

This is an entry-level opportunity to learn the craft of corporate communications in a supportive, collaborative team.

As an Executive, you'll help deliver smart strategies and campaigns that shape reputations and achieve real results. You'll work across research, media coordination, writing and project support, building the practical skills and confidence to take on more responsibility over time.

We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in news and current affairs, curious about why some stories cut through, and keen to help create work that people want to read, watch and share.

You don't need to know everything on day one: you do need to bring energy, care, initiative and a real willingness to learn.

A communications qualification or similar is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Research and story development.
- Research organisations, industries, issues and audiences to support client work and new business pitches.
- Keep an eye on current affairs and emerging conversations, sharing relevant developments with your team.
- Help spot promising story angles and contribute ideas that connect client expertise and priorities with what people care about.
- Support the preparation of media materials, including releases, briefing notes and press packs, with guidance from colleagues.

Media coordination

- Assist with media research, list building and maintaining accurate media contacts.
- Track editorial calendars and forward features, and help identify relevant opportunities for clients.
- Support day-to-day media relations coordination and follow-up, learning how to tailor communications for different journalists and outlets.
- Help monitor coverage and keep media tracking and reporting up to date.

Project and team support

- Provide reliable administrative and project support, keeping tasks, timelines and details organised.
- Help coordinate project plans, programmes and budgets, with support from the team.
- Liaise with suppliers such as venues, photographers, printers and media monitoring providers.
- Contribute to team and company meetings, bring your perspective, and follow through on agreed actions.
- Manage several tasks at once, communicate early when priorities or deadlines need attention, and deliver work carefully and on time.

What you'll bring

- A genuine interest in news, current affairs, business and how organisations shape the world around them.
- Curiosity about what makes a story timely, relevant and worth paying attention to.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills,

with care for accuracy and detail.
- An organised approach and the ability to keep track of multiple tasks, shifting priorities and deadlines.
- A positive, can-do attitude: you're eager to contribute, ask questions and take ownership of your work.
- Resourcefulness and initiative—you look for the next useful step rather than waiting to be asked every time.
- A collaborative style and confidence working with people from different teams and disciplines.
- Openness to feedback and a real willingness to learn, improve and grow.
- Previous PR or communications experience—through an internship, work placement or entry-level role—is welcome. Exposure to corporate or B2B communications is practical, but a strong interest in the work and a learning mindset matter most.

YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF...

You bring energy and curiosity to the everyday work as well as the big ideas. You enjoy being part of a team, can stay calm when several things need your attention, and take pride in making the small details right. You're ready to build your skills, learn from experienced colleagues and grow into a confident communications professional.

WHAT WE'LL BRING

Through our global networks, you can also gain exposure to international perspectives and expertise, and learn from work happening in other markets. The scale of Omnicom Oceania creates further opportunities to collaborate with specialists across the wider communications and marketing mix.

Benefits include

- Flexible working arrangements.
- Professional development programmes and access to learning resources.
- Paid annual leave, personal leave and public holidays.
- Wellbeing initiatives, including mental health support.
- Parental leave and family-friendly policies.
- Cultural and social events that help build connection and creativity.
- Potential mobility opportunities within the network.
- A collaborative, inclusive and creatively ambitious workplace culture.

Interested?

If you're starting your career and bring an appetite for news, a sharp eye for a good story, and the energy to learn by doing, we'd love to hear from you.
