Your opportunity

This is an exciting 12 month fixed term, part time Contract (0.8) opportunity for a Communications Practice Lead to shape how communications work is planned, prioritised and delivered across Dairy Australia, helping our teams create coordinated, audience-led communications with greater clarity and impact.

As Communications Practice Lead, you will lead communications planning, governance, workflow coordination, capability and measurement across the organisation. Acting as a central point of connection, you will help teams manage competing demands, improve forward visibility and direct communications expertise and resources towards the priorities that matter most.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will:

- Lead integrated communications planning, prioritisation and the organisation-wide editorial calendar.
- Coordinate communications demand, workflow and resources across teams, channels and initiatives.
- Partner with business units to clarify objectives, audiences, outcomes and communications requirements early.
- Develop and embed practical operating models, frameworks, standards and tools that strengthen collaboration, quality and decision-making.




- Identify and embed AI-enabled tools and workflows that improve communications planning, content development, productivity, while supporting responsible use.
- Lead the Marketing & Communications Community of Practice and build communications capability across Dairy Australia.
- Establish communications effectiveness standards and measurement frameworks, using audience, channel, demand and capacity insights to improve prioritisation and continuous improvement.

About You You are a highly organised and influential communications professional who can bring structure and clarity to a complex operating environment. You build alignment across teams, navigate competing priorities constructively and create practical ways of working that make it easier for people to deliver high-quality communications. Success In This Role Will Be Supported By Your

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications, marketing or business.
- Experience leading integrated communications planning, governance, workflow or operations.
- Strong capability in demand management, prioritisation and coordination across multiple teams.
- Experience developing practical frameworks, standards, briefing tools and governance processes.
- Analytical capability, including using performance, demand and capacity insights to guide recommendations.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management and influencing skills that build alignment and shared ownership.
