Business Development Representative - Australia

Enterprise Connectivity | Satellite Broadband

Location: Remote (Working Business Hours) | Reports to: Sales Director

Engagement: Contractual Full-Time / Flexible Hours

Why BRDY Telecom?

At BRDY Telecom, we believe broadband is essential infrastructure, not a luxury. With teams operating across 10 countries and speaking more than 15 languages, we provide dedicated support to customers around the world. We deliver enterprise-grade satellite connectivity to businesses, public sector organisations and operators in hard-to-reach environments, powered by next-generation LEO networks including Starlink, OneWeb and Amazon Leo.

Our mission is to connect people, protect business continuity and enable growth anywhere. We are building a scalable, partner-led connectivity platform with global impact.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially driven, Business Development Representative to grow BRDY Telecom’s presence in the Australian market. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor, new-business acquisition role with full ownership of the sales cycle: from prospecting and qualification through discovery, proposal, commercial negotiation and signed contract.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will develop your own territory plan, build and manage a healthy pipeline, win enterprise and public-sector customers, and identify valuable channels and strategic partnerships. You will be accountable for delivering new business revenue, not simply generating leads or booking meetings.

Key Responsibilities

· Own the complete new-business sales cycle: source prospects, qualify opportunities, lead discovery, prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close contracts.

· Build and execute a focused territory growth plan for Australia, prioritising enterprise, government, remote-site, maritime and business-continuity connectivity opportunities,

as well as MSP Partners.

· Proactively generate demand through targeted outreach, account mapping, dormant-account reactivation, referrals and partner engagement.

· Build relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, operators and channel partners; develop opportunities for repeat and long-term business.

· Maintain accurate CRM records, deal stages, next steps, pipeline coverage and revenue forecasts; take ownership of deal progression and sales velocity.

· Work with technical, service delivery and commercial colleagues to shape solutions that meet customer requirements and support profitable growth.

· Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer need to refine territory priorities and identify new growth opportunities.

· Own performance against agreed new-business and revenue targets, supported by the Sales Director.

What Success Looks Like: First 90 Days

Timescale Expected outcomes:

Month 1 – Research and absorb

Develop a strong understanding of BRDY’s managed services, Starlink hardware and data plans. Identify target markets, priority verticals and potential partners. Agree on an outreach plan and begin initial prospecting.

Month 2 – Build your pipeline and approach

Build a pipeline within the agreed verticals, initiate contact with prospective customers and partners, and generate initial sales opportunities.

Month 3 – Build confidence and secure early wins

Initially work with the Sales Manager on customer discussions to accelerate early wins and build confidence. As product knowledge and confidence grow, increase outreach activity, take greater ownership of opportunities and progress the pipeline towards conversion.

Experience & Skills

· 3–5+ years of experience business development, new-business sales, partnerships or a related commercial role.

· Demonstrated ability to independently prospect, manage a full sales cycle, negotiate and close B2B deals.

· Strong commercial judgement, territory planning, pipeline management and forecasting skills.

· Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and developing high-value enterprise and partner relationships.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

· Knowledge of satellite, connectivity, telecoms or managed services is valuable; candidates from adjacent industries are welcome.

· A relevant degree is an advantage but not essential.

· We’re looking for people who take ownership, think creatively, and turn ideas into action like an intrapreneur.

· Compensation & Working Arrangement

· Monthly retainer: AUD 2,000.

· Commission: performance-based and uncapped.

· Indicative Year 1 on-target earnings: approximately AUD 75,000 for robust performers; actual earnings depend on performance.

· Remote working within the relevant time zones, with full-time contractual arrangement and versatile working hours.

Why Join Brdy?

Join an international, fast-growing connectivity business with access to next-generation technology, experienced sales leadership, international customers and partners, and opportunities to expand your enterprise sales expertise. This role offers meaningful ownership of a territory and the chance to directly influence BRDY’s growth.

BRDY welcomes commercially minded self-starters who bring initiative, accountability and fresh ideas.
