Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced Business Development Engineer / Manager to identify, develop and secure major opportunities across Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity for a technically capable engineer with robust commercial acumen to help grow our Civil business by building client relationships, identifying project opportunities, and developing winning tender strategies.

Working closely with our Civil leadership team, you will play a key role in expanding Freyssinet's presence across the WA infrastructure market, with a particular focus on bridges, transport infrastructure and modern construction methods.

About The Role

As the WA Business Development Engineer / Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across Western Australia
- Monitoring project pipelines, tender portals and market intelligence to identify future opportunities
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and key industry stakeholders
- Developing business development strategies to secure profitable work
- Supporting tender submissions, estimating activities and bid strategies
- Undertaking preliminary cost studies and feasibility assessments using first-principles estimating
- Assessing commercial risks, project margins and delivery considerations
- Representing Freyssinet at client meetings,



industry events and project briefings
- Collaborating with technical and operational teams to develop innovative project solutions
- Travelling throughout WA, including regional locations and the Pilbara, to attend client meetings, site visits and tender inspections

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure, bridge construction, business development, estimating or project engineering

- Strong understanding of modern bridge construction methodologies, including:
- Incremental Launching
- Precast Segmental Bridge Construction
- Balanced Cantilever Construction

- Understanding of post-tensioning systems and their application within bridge structures
- Knowledge of bridge accessories and specialist engineering solutions, including:

- Bearings
- Expansion Joints
- Heavy Lifting & Heavy Handling Solutions
- Structural Strengthening Systems

- Strong commercial awareness, including estimating, margins, contract risk and project delivery considerations
- Ability to analyse market opportunities, competitor activity and client procurement pathways
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication,



presentation and negotiation abilities
- Engineering qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
