Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join their Burton team. This ongoing opportunity offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and the potential for long-term employment. You'll play a key role in yard operations, including forklift operation, container preparation, maintenance, and general site duties in a hands-on outdoor environment.

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Responsibilities

- Operating forklifts to move and position shipping containers and equipment
- Washing and cleaning containers to company standards
- General yard maintenance and housekeeping
- Assisting with container inspections and preparation




- Loading and unloading materials
- Following all site safety procedures and secure work practices
- Supporting the wider yard team with daily operational tasks

Your Profile

- Current Forklift Licence (LF) required
- Experience operating Tyne forklifts is preferred, however training can be provided for the right person
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Previous handyman, yard, warehouse, logistics or container industry experience
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor environment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and within a team
