Coober Pedy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical, Palliative and Surgical (MPS) ward on a full time contract basis. This is a short-term opportunity running from 27 November 2026 through to 4 January 2027, approximately 5.5 weeks at 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will work across emergency, acute, and aged care settings, bringing flexibility and clinical expertise to support the hospital's operational needs during this period.

- Work across emergency, acute, and aged care nursing in a dynamic hospital environment
- Full-time contract position, 76 hours per fortnight, with clear end dates
- Based in Coober Pedy, supporting a diverse patient population across multiple care settings

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing, acute care, or aged care settings




- Ability to work flexibly across different ward areas depending on operational and staffing requirements
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritisation skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in emergency or acute care nursing
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
