Port Broughton District Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Acute General Ward and Emergency Department on a contract basis from 19 December 2026 to 12 February 2027. This is an 8-week fixed-term position at 0.8 FTE, offering the chance to work in a dynamic acute care environment. Onsite accommodation is available subject to availability, with offsite options also provided. There is potential for contract extension beyond the initial period.

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in acute and emergency department nursing




- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in a rapid-paced environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to acute presentations
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites, including potential shifts at Snowtown
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in Emergency Nursing
