Coober Pedy Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Medical, Palliative and Surgical (MPS) ward on a full-time contract basis. This is an eight-week fixed-term position running from 9 November 2026 through to 4 January 2027, working 76 hours per fortnight across emergency, acute, and aged care settings. The role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment where flexibility and clinical versatility are valued.

- Based at Coober Pedy Hospital, supporting a regional healthcare service

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing, acute care, and aged care settings




- Ability to work flexibly across different ward areas depending on operational and staffing needs
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritisation skills in rapid-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities across multidisciplinary teams
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
- Post-graduate qualification or experience in emergency or acute care nursing
