About the Medical Centre

Our client is an established and growing healthcare organisation with a strong reputation for providing exceptional, patient-centred general practice services.

Following the success of its existing medical centre, the organisation is expanding with the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built medical facility in Camberwell in January 2027.

The new centre will offer comprehensive general practice services alongside specialised areas including:

- Skin Cancer Medicine

- Travel Medicine

- Aviation Medicine

- Occupational and Workplace Medicine

- Menopause Care

- Chronic Disease Management

- General and Preventative Healthcare

The practice is expected to commence with approximately 4–5 General Practitioners, with plans to progressively grow towards a capacity of approximately 10 full-time equivalent GPs.

The Role | Make It Your Own!

As Practice Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing, leading and growing the new medical centre.





You'll have the opportunity to combine your operational knowledge, leadership abilities and business mindset to create an productive, successful and welcoming practice.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be trusted to take ownership, make decisions and confidently guide your team through the exciting challenges that come with opening and growing a new practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy general practice.

- Supporting the successful establishment and launch of the new medical centre.

- Providing genuine leadership by setting clear expectations, making confident decisions and maintaining high standards while supporting and empowering your team.

- Leading, mentoring and developing reception and administrative teams, fostering accountability, trust and professional growth.

- Creating a positive, respectful and collaborative workplace culture.

- Supporting GP onboarding, recruitment and workforce planning.

- Managing rosters, staffing requirements and operational workflows.

- Overseeing patient experience, appointment management and service delivery.

- Supporting financial performance, billing processes and operational efficiency.

- Maintaining accreditation standards, compliance, confidentiality and practice policies.

- Identifying potential challenges early, assessing situations calmly and implementing practical, solutions-focused improvements.

- Adapting confidently to changing priorities and the evolving requirements of a newly established medical centre.

- Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses and business owners while maintaining professionalism, discretion and clear communication.

- Contributing ideas and initiatives to support practice growth, marketing and community engagement.

- Taking ownership of responsibilities, following through on commitments and ensuring the practice operates to a consistently high standard.
