About the role

DBC Cartage is seeking a Diesel Mechanic either workshop- or field-based, to join our team in Lilydale, Tasmania. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles are safe and roadworthy, allowing our operations to run smoothly.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnosing, servicing and repairing diesel engines and components

- Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles

- Performing inspections and identifying any faults or issues

- Completing detailed documentation and maintaining accurate records

- Assisting with the management of the workshop and parts inventory

What we're looking for

- Robust knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics and repair procedures

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills





- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Current driver's licence
