As second in charge, you’ll work alongside the Store Manager to lead our busy supermarket and bottle shop, support the team and deliver a great shopping experience for island residents, employees and holidaymakers.

Where you’ll make an impact
- Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of the supermarket and bottle shop
- Lead and develop the grocery team, maintaining high standards of customer service
- Oversee a team of more than 20 employees when the Store Manager is absent
- Monitor grocery inventory,
order stock and maintain product availability
- Implement sales targets and manage wastage
- Ensure correct ticketing and price match compliance
- Create attractive, well-stocked displays through effective visual merchandising
- Assist with recruitment, training and employee development
What you’ll bring
You’re an approachable, hands-on leader who enjoys a busy supermarket environment. You know how to keep shelves stocked, support your team and balance customer service with the day-to-day demands of the store.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a management position
- Essential experience within a high-volume corporate supermarket
- Demonstrated experience with POS and ticketing systems
- A valid driver’s licence
- A forklift licence
- Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
