Senior Project Manager - Water Infrastructure An industry-leading project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the successful execution of a large-scale water infrastructure program in South East Queensland.

This position offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, overseeing delivery readiness, interface management, assurance activities and transition planning as the project progresses from construction through commissioning and into operations.

Working within a client-focused project environment, you will provide leadership and coordination across multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment between project delivery teams, contractors, technical specialists and operational personnel.

This is a strategic coordination and assurance role rather than a direct construction supervision position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project delivery coordination activities across construction, testing, commissioning and asset transition phases.

Facilitate collaboration between contractors, engineering disciplines, operational stakeholders and project teams.

Monitor project readiness activities and support the successful progression of key delivery milestones.

Coordinate verification, inspection and assurance processes throughout project execution.

Oversee interface management across construction, environmental, safety, quality and operational workstreams.

Support commissioning and transition planning activities to ensure assets are prepared for operational use.

Track project close-out requirements, including:

Verification records

Defect management processes

Completion documentation

Asset information and technical records

Turnover deliverables





Engage with future asset custodians and operational stakeholders to ensure business readiness objectives are achieved.

Identify emerging delivery, safety, quality or environmental risks and facilitate appropriate escalation pathways.

Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.

Ensure governance, assurance and compliance requirements are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

Highly experienced infrastructure leader with a track record of successfully delivering major capital projects within complex stakeholder environments.

Extensive experience leading delivery, construction, commissioning or transition activities on major infrastructure projects.

Experience operating within client-side, owner's team, project management consultancy or delivery partner environments.

Degree qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Demonstrated success coordinating multidisciplinary teams across project execution and delivery phases.

Strong capability in:

Project delivery assurance

Commissioning and transition planning

Stakeholder engagement

Risk and interface management

Governance and compliance

Utilities, process infrastructure, energy, renewables, industrial facilities or large-scale capital projects.

Brownfield or greenfield project delivery environments.

Asset handover, operational transition or readiness programs.

Contractor management and delivery partner coordination.

Complex infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.
