Senior Legal Counsel position for a global investment bank and capital markets firm. You will join the APAC team and support the Head of Legal for the Australian branch which spans Investment Banking & Capital Markets, Sales & Trading and Research.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions: IPOs, secondary raisings, placements, and other equity offerings

Guiding public and private M&A;, including takeover bids, schemes of arrangement and strategic advisory work

Reviewing and negotiating key transaction documentation, with execution-level drafting handled externally

Advising Sales & Trading and Research on regulatory, market conduct and transactional issues across equity products, distribution, and research activity

Corporations Act,



ASX Listing Rules and Australian financial services regulation

Coordinating with institutional clients and offshore stakeholders

Oversight and advise on legal and regulatory issues

Seeking c4-7 years PQE experience coming from a law firm or financial institution ideally capital markets/ECM experience. Open to M&A; or Funds lawyers with exposure to ECM matters. This is an exciting prospect to join a fast-growing, high-paced business with exposure to a variety of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters across various markets in APAC.
