About the role

We are seeking a talented Chef / Cook / CDP / Commis to join our culinary team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment at our Darra QLD location. Operating on Monday to Friday shifts at a casual rate of $32.50 per hour, this role offers flexibility whilst allowing you to contribute meaningfully to our kitchen operations. Whether you are an experienced Chef, a skilled Cook, a Commis Chef de Partie, or a Commis Chef, we welcome applications from individuals at various stages of their culinary career who are committed to maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards

- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

- Ensuring consistent presentation and plating of dishes to meet customer expectations

- Managing prep work and mise en place to support efficient kitchen operations

- Collaborating with kitchen team members to meet service demands

- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management

- Following health and safety regulations and company policies

- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment





- Supporting senior chefs and taking direction as part of the kitchen hierarchy

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment

- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during service periods

- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and presentation

- Positive communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

- Current food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent experience (depending on level)

- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work

- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements is advantageous
