As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Trainee Estimator/Scheduler to join our Estimating & Scheduling team. This is an ideal first step for someone who wants to build a long-term career in residential construction.

? Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Estimating & Scheduling, you'll receive hands-on training and support as you build your skills and confidence, gradually taking on more responsibility and your own projects as you progress. You'll learn and be involved in:

- Preparing Bills of Quantities from house plans

- Preparing material orders and purchase orders

- Assisting with sales estimates and variation costings

- Tracking orders and following up with suppliers to keep projects on track

- Reviewing plans, checking quantities and processing invoices

- Assisting with building contract documentation

- Obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

- Helping maintain our estimating database, pricing and templates

- Working with our drafting, estimating and construction teams,



and acting as a key point of contact for our construction supervisors

You'll also gain experience with industry-specific software, including Truth Engine, and a practical understanding of how a home is costed, ordered, and built.

? About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has an eye for detail, and is keen to learn. You don't need previous estimating or scheduling experience; we'll provide the training and support. You might be starting your career, studying, or coming from administration, customer service, or a trade and looking for a new direction.

- Studying towards or having completed a Cert IV or Diploma of Building and Construction (Building). Preferred, not essential

- Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail

- Confidence using computers, particularly Microsoft Excel

- Strong organisational and communication skills

- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team

- Previous exposure to residential construction (site, drafting, admin or trade) is a bonus but not essential
