Forward Engineering Consultants Pty Ltd is seeking a Structural Draftsperson to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Highett, VIC 3190. In this role, you will play a part in translating engineering designs and concepts into detailed construction drawings and documentation. As a Structural Draftsperson, you will work collaboratively with structural engineers and project team to produce drawings, plans, and specifications, issued to coordinate with architects, builders and clients.
What you'll be doing
- Producing detailed structural drawings, plans, details and elevations using CAD software.
- Translating engineers' Bluebeam Revu sketches and design specifications into technical documentation.
- Creating construction drawings for projects of a variety of scope from residential projects to commercial/industrial developments.
- Collaborating with the internal structural and civil engineering team to clarify design intent and resolve technical queries.
What we're looking for
- Proficiency with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD/BricsCAD, with ideally 5+ years of experience.
- Understanding of general structural engineering principles and building construction methods
- Familiarity with projects of various construction methods, including timber,
steel, concrete (insitu and precast) structures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Experience in a consulting setting
